About the Role:

We’re looking for our first head of marketing to direct our marketing strategy, strengthen our client relationships and generate growth across all product lines and client segments. This leader will partner closely with the head of sales and head of client success and work with our small marketing team to build our brand and engage educators about our product and impact. Today, we are fortunate to have hundreds of school district clients who advocate for us around the country, and we’ve had strong success generating leads from webinars, articles, conferences and word of mouth. We are now excited to create an even more structured, analytical approach to our marketing strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead company in knowledge of K-12 public education’s structure and trends to enhance our value proposition, product direction, segmentation and analysis of clients, and understanding of end user habits and needs
  • Refine and constantly improve on our branding, positioning, communications, marketing programs and marketing operations, including direct mail, website, email, SEO, PPC, social media, blogs, whitepapers, literature and collateral, digital brochures and video; gather and share feedback and metrics on changing client needs and perceptions with the Panorama team
  • Collaborate with product development, client success and sales to strengthen client relationships, launch products and promote research and expertise
  • Coach and support the growth and professional development of marketing team

What We’re Looking For:

  • An experienced leader who has brought cutting edge B2B marketing strategies to education and education technology space; at least three years of successful management and coaching experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment (start-up experience preferred), and eager to dig into the work as a player-coach
  • Experience delivering breakthrough results in direct marketing and direct sales programs, ideally in education; track record of producing year-over-year revenue growth through new and current customers, new products, new geographies
  • Commercial product development experience, especially in brand, product and channel marketing, and establishing “voice of customer”
  • Well-versed in web-based performance measures, and feedback and measurement systems to provide visibility on changing customer needs, interests and perceptions; sales penetration in different markets; continual monitoring, testing and improvement of program effectiveness, conversion rates, etc.
  • Analytical, persuasive, able to prioritize and stay organized amidst competing demands on time; creative and hungry in approach to solving problems; can quickly turn ideas into action; humble, positive and energetic
  • Passion for improving education; admiration and empathy for the critical work happening in schools and excited about helping them to improve
