Description:

edX is seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. To succeed in this role, you must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. This position will work closely with finance leadership as well as key business partners to drive thoughtful revenue forecasting, analysis, and controllership of the business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain revenue forecasting processes including long-term planning, annual planning, monthly rolling forecasts and weekly monitoring. Partner with key stakeholders to develop thoughtful forecasts and gain insights into revenue drivers.
  • Create weekly business updates for management, providing actionable insight into any trends or shifts in the business.
  • Act as lead on edX’s Partner revenue share reporting. Develop and manage models to track revenue share reporting in accordance with complex contractual agreements.
  • Provide cross-functional support to the Education Services and Marketing teams to address questions regarding Bookings, Revenue, and Partner Revenue share trends.
  • Prepare presentations and reporting to senior management
  • Recognize system inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
  • Drive ad-hoc business projects as necessary

 Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of FP&A, or similar experience
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics
  • MS Excel expert
  • Experience with SQL preferred
  • Experience with BI tools, Tableau preferred
  • Extreme attention to detail for zero defect work
  • Intellectual curiosity to proactively understand the business
  • Ability to work comfortably with incomplete information and deal with ambiguity
