Wistia is seeking an exceptional copywriter with marketing automation experience to join our team. Do you love and excel at writing compelling content that helps and engages customers and prospects? Do you have experience with HubSpot’s marketing automation platform? Would you be super excited to help Wistia send emails with the right content, to the right contacts, at the right time? This role will report to the Director of Marketing Operations, and will work across various functions with our email squad, growth, product, agency, and sales teams. You'll spend the majority of your time writing carefully constructed emails, managing workflows, and A/B testing to learn the best ways to engage with our customers.


Email and content from Wistia is playful, creative, and above all, useful. Ideally, we want our audience of marketers, video producers, and businesses to read, feel inspired, chuckle, and ultimately use Wistia across their company.


Responsibilities



  • Draft emails, landing pages, and other types of content that teach, motivate, persuade, and inspire Wistia’s customers and prospects.

  • Manage automation campaigns in HubSpot to nurture leads from webinars, events, and on-site email sign-ups.

  • Organize and execute email marketing and content campaigns, working to improve how we segment and communicate with our existing audience for the highest impact.

  • Create emails that share content from Wistia’s vast content library, and design smart workflows that engage Wistia’s customers and prospects.

  • Manage email sequences prior to and after webinars and events.

  • A/B test new messaging, techniques, and hypotheses across Wistia communications.

  • Coordinate with product marketing and management to use our content for retention, and upsellas well as nurturenew leads.

  • Work with partners to create co-marketing resources on the Wistia site and/or on partners’ sites.

  • Work closely with marketing operations and other teams to identify and refine key customer personas and nurture them with targeted content.

  • Segment contact lists based on behaviors like past email engagement and website interactions (including content downloads and site page visits).

  • Contribute to and write content for the Wistia blog.


Requirements



  • BA/BS and 1-3 years of working experience.



  • Proficiency with email marketing, lead nurturing, and marketing automation technology.

  • Excellent writer and communicator (written and verbal).

  • Strong understanding of email marketing concepts.

  • Experience using HubSpot.

  • Able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimization.
