Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, SEO will work cross-functionally with Invaluable’s Marketing, Product and Engineering teams to lead SEO initiatives to drive organic growth across all web properties. This individual will impact Invaluable’s presence in search engines, organic traffic growth efforts, and content marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will combine passion for growing organic traffic via search engines along with a desire to help consumers find the items they covet. This position requires a combination of strong analytical abilities working with our data, along with proficient technical experience to bring ideas that flow from that analysis to life. 

 

Invaluable presents a unique challenge and opportunity for a savvy SEO. With over 160,000 unique, user-generated items on the site every day there is tremendous keyword and content diversity across thousands of product categories that each have their own story. As a high impact and highly visible position, there is strong support from the executive team to invest and succeed in driving continuous organic growth.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the vision, strategy, and implementation for SEO across the Invaluable and AuctionZip web properties to build brand awareness, acquire new customers and generate revenue
  • As the in-house SEO thought leader, stay current on trends and latest developments
  • Research, identify and establish partnerships with authoritative web sites for link-building
  • Identify on-page SEO opportunities
  • Improve conversion of organic search traffic
  • Contribute to key off-site SEO initiatives ranging from keyword research/analysis, competitor analysis, local search optimization, link reclamation, SEM opportunity analysis and more.
  • Works closely with Product and Engineering teams to execute on-page tactics within the company’s release schedule
  • Lead any external SEO relationships effectively and collaborate with internal teams to build strategies that drive growth

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 4-6 years of hands-on SEO experience
  • BA/BS required
  • A passion for SEO and digital marketing
  • Experience managing large, technically complex websites
  • Solid experience with Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools
  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency with analytical SEO Tools (e.g. BrightEdge, Majestic SEO, MOZ, DeepCrawl, etc.) and metrics
  • Strong technical SEO, data analytics, and strategy background
  • Proficient in log file analysis
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive hard to completion and deliver effective results in a fast-paced environment while being under tight deadlines
