Director of Project Management, Global Consulting
Job Overview
Reporting to the VP of Global Consulting, the Rapid7 Director of Project Management is a key member of the Global Consulting team who possess a passion for customer success and solving complex security problems with innovative solutions and intensive customer engagement.
The Director of Project Management will focus on ensuring absolute success for our customers through the acquisition and adoption of their Rapid7 solutions. These solutions may be part of Rapid7’s product suite, service offerings, or a combination of the two. Security is a complex and rapidly evolving industry that requires adaptable solutions to a dynamic market. This role will help make certain our customers stay one step ahead with regard to both understanding and managing their solutions strategy.
The Director of Project Management will own a handful of critical/strategic Customers and serve as the primary Rapid7 point-of-contact. The Director of Project Management is expected to consistently drive process improvements and develop efficiencies in how our customers leverage their Rapid7 investments but also how they engage Rapid7 as the voice-of-the-customer. This includes relationship management, reporting, alignment to our solutions roadmap(s), serving as a bridge to the Support and Engineering organizations, and identifying renewal/upsell/cross-sell opportunities. The Director of Project Management is expected to operate with our Customers at the executive level in championing success for their Rapid7 solutions.
The Director of Project Management will also collaborate with other Global Services leaders to foster collaboration, coheshion,and a consistent delivery approach.
Compensation plan will include a variable component tied, but not limited to, customer satisfaction, performance metrics, account expansion & renewals, and measurable business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Accountable for high quality, world-class Customer project and relationship oversight/ownership of portfolio of Customer accounts
- Budgetary accountability for profitability of projects
- Own Customer reporting and project management activities along with all related business account reviews
- Work closely with Support and Engineering to ensure expectations are appropriately mapped to Customers’ expected business outcomes
- Manage the facilitation of enablement activities to foster Customers’ success
- Work with Sales to identify upsell/cross-sell/renewal opportunities
- Actively engage Product and Engineering to understand future direction of products and facilitate communication on product releases, issues, and enhancements
Job Qualifications:
- 10+ years professional services project management delivery for software provider
- Familiarity managing projects that involve software development and implementation/integrations
- 5-7 years experience delivering at a large professional services firm (PWC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte, IBM, Accenture, etc.)
- Experience working with Sales in project-oriented environments with deadlines and milestones, making presentations to senior-level management, etc
- Proven ability to build relationships with, understand business needs of, and deliver demonstrable value to senior management and C-level executives
- Budgetary responsibility for portfolio profitability
- Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time
