The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for overseeing the strategy,development and management of Advantage Media marketing. The Director will collaborate with existing partners, internal client teams and executive team to develop strategy and tactics for delivery of all aspects of marketing- from product to PR to marketing materials. The ideal candidate should have experience in a start-up like environment where she/he has managed most aspects of marketing including, product marketing, marketing communications, social media management, and sales materials development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop overall marketing strategy.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and clients to garner feedback for development of product marketing materials.
  • Regularly update all product marketing materials, including decks, videos, one-sheeters, etc.
  • Develop a content and press release plan. Collaborate with internal and/or external partners to execute upon a content delivery strategy.
  • Work as a part of a collaborative marketing, product and executive team on the planning, development and design of overall product strategy from product initiation decision through the end of the product life cycle.
  • Write content for website. Update website as needed.
  • Write and edit content for all sales materials.
  • Work with the internal design team to ensure all marketing materials are impressive, accurate and compelling.
  • Understand Advantage Media’s market and competitors. Make suggestions to marketing materials based on knowledge and expertise.
  • Collaborate with sales and client services to create and/or update all case studies.
  • Manage all timelines for any materials or projects. Accurately and effectively communicate all timelines to participating parties.
  • Collaborate with Head of Client Services and head of Media Operations on training documentation and other materials.
  • Collaborate with Director of Product to create marketing materials. This includes writing descriptions of products, providing input to design team, and ensuring products are represented functionally.
  • Specifying marketing requirements for current and future products by developing a cohesive story and bringing tactical operational needs
  • Evangelist of our current products to Marketing Communications through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
  • Developing & implementing company-wide go-to-market plan working with all departments to execute.
  • Create and facilitate product roadshows within and outside of Advantage companies.
  • Working with sales groups, create an event schedule that will ensure our products are well represented in the market. Manage schedule for sales leaders.
  • Manage all marketing collateral purchases and delivery to all offices.
  • Deliver presentations internally and externally as needed.
  • Foster relationships with internal teams- sales, client services, ad operations and executive team to ensure successful delivery of marketing materials.
  • Facilitate and lead internal meetings as needed.
  • Special projects as necessary and assigned.

Key Competencies:

  • Expertise with online media buying, advertising technology, and ad network business models.
  • Experience managing outsourced or vendor partners.
  • Prior experience working at DSP, Trading Desk, Exchange, Ad Network, Publisher, or SSP is a plus.
  • Outstanding analytical, and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally.
  • Strong project management skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to detail.
  • Passionate about working in a fast paced, sometimes demanding start­up environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years in a marketing management role, prior experience at a start-up a plus.
  • BS/BA, MBA a plus.
