Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Information Technology will be responsible for managing dataxu’s IT infrastructure, internal applications and support. Leading a team of four IT professionals, this individual will be responsible for delivering services and technology that facilitate the dataxu’s continuing growth. He/she will own increasing productivity, efficiency and reliability of IT services plus key initiatives in security, communication, and facility expansion. The individual will oversee the dataxu global IT plan. This person will be a key member of the dataxu Management team; it is a business process leader and change agent within dataxu.

On the Job:

  • Enhance and maintain the global dataxuIT infrastructure
  • Analyze complex business needs of the user community and/or clients and recommend effective technical solutions
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all networking and systems hardware
  • Manage technology and services vendors including evaluation, procurement, implementation, and maintenance
  • Drive capacity and growth planning for future technology solutions
  • Establish, implement, and monitor company-wide policies and procedures for network security and systems administration
  • Develop, implement and execute business continuity program
  • Provide recommendations and business case justification for architectural and productivity improvements, maximizing the impact of dataxu’s investments in technology
  • Architect and implement the build-out and support of new office locations
  • Lead and develop the IT team with an explicit focus on outstanding customer service
  • Manage global IT budget and monitor IT activities for compliance with the plan 

About You:

  • Demonstrated passion and leadership delivering outstanding service to internal IT customers
  • Repeated success planning, scaling and deploying systems and network infrastructure with a combination of vendor and internal resources
  • Strong track record providing multiple offices a secure and stable infrastructure
  • Experience negotiating and executing corporate wide licensing programs
  • Experience implementing IT security including development of information security policies and executing security programs
  • 10+ years of experience within the IT field with 5+ years of experience managing a team of support professionals
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, Networking and Backup technologies
  • Experience supporting telephony systems, primarily VOIP
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communications with technical and non-technical team members
  • High-level of self-motivation; demonstrated success leading a small team supporting a complex and dynamic business
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% and work flexible hours, with on-call and occasional weekends/evenings
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with focus in Computer Science
