Director of Digital Marketing (RetailConvergence.com, LP; Boston, Massachusetts):

The Director of Digital Marketing will join an entrepreneurial, analytical marketing team focused on accelerating growth for a company at the leading edge of mobile commerce with an award-winning app and over 50% of sales generated on mobile devices. Rue La La's innovative flash-sale concept highlights 2K premium brands, integrating formerly disparate elements (merchandising, marketing and technology) to create a uniquely engaging shopping destination for 18M members.

 

What you’ll accomplish…

The Director of Digital Marketing will lead a team of Analysts/Sr. Analysts to meet marketing campaign and company growth objectives.

Specific duties include:

(1) Overseeing all aspects of digital marketing efforts, leveraging necessary experience in setting and managing budgets and defining and meeting performance goals;

(2) Defining, executing and iterating on acquisition channel marketing strategies, with a focus on identifying and impacting major trends, and using data to drive business decisions;

(3) Negotiating and collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver on cross-functional projects with material impact;

(4) Leveraging technology to enhance business goals, identifying areas for improvement and driving implementation;

(5) Instituting rigorous test-and-learn methodology to achieve desired results;

(6) leading a digital marketing team of analysts and managers to meet marketing campaign objectives, leveraging necessary prior experience building, managing and mentoring high performing teams;

(7) Owning financial budgeting and performance reporting processes and leveraging experience with data modeling, market-sizing and management of financial projections;

(8) Creating and delivering presentations of strategy, performance and insights and sharing the information with all levels of the organization including company leadership and board; and

(9) Domestic travel up to 10% of the time may be required.

 

THE RIGHT FIT:
You have…


Minimum requirements:

Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics, or Economics, or a related field, plus 4 years of experience with strategy consulting or marketing.

Experience may be gained pre-or post-Master's degree.

 

Must have:

(1) Demonstrated experience and expertise in e-commerce and marketing, including strategy development, opportunity assessment, and performance analysis.

(2) Demonstrated experience in strategy definition and roll-out across different stages (from turnaround and optimization to growth), including performance assessment, competitive and scenario analysis, roadmap definition, multi-million dollar process/program improvements.

(3) Demonstrated experience with data modeling, market-sizing and management of financial projections.

(4) Proven ability to execute marketing programs/product launch in the domestic and international space, including knowledge of sizing and launch of opportunities.

(5) Proven ability working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau.

(6) Proven ability to create and deliver presentations on strategy, performance, and insights to all levels of the organization, including company leadership and board of directors.

(7) Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment, while partnering with and influencing cross-functional teams.
