We're solving the 7 trillion dollar problem of one-size-fits-all education by creating a next-generation learning platform that makes learning fun and fiercely effective -- and that gets better the more we use it. The first application of our platform serves pre-meds and medical students. We currently serve 1 out of every 8 medical students across the country and are on pace to make it 1 out of 4 by the end of 2014.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone that would love the opportunity to share Firecracker's unique value with the world to drive new visits, trial signups and interest from institutional partners. Specifically, we're looking for writer-educators who want to create demand through compelling illustration of customer pain and Firecracker's role in alleviating it (students and their administrators). We're also looking for a visionary entrepreneurial leader who wants to build a scalable and sustainable way of doing so by systematically empowering both our team and our community to evangelize Firecracker. Specifically, we're looking for a content marketer who is a strong writer and collaborator, and who loves to experiment, analyze results, learn from them (data and people) and then rinse and repeat. If writing and editing compelling educational content, creating and executing a strategic communications plan and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders interests you, you may be a great fit.

Specifically, we want someone who is/has:

  • Track record of success driving awareness and adoption through a strategic inbound and outbound marketing plan
  • Knack for motivating others, both internally and externally to evangelize Firecracker through written word
  • Passion for educating potential customers about their pain and Firecracker's solution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Philosophy and track record of successfully improving strategic marketing through continuous experimentation 
  • Willing to do whatever it takes to help Firecracker succeed and adopt new responsibilities on an as-needed basis
  • Deep respect for medical professionals and their drive to serve patients
