Key Responsibilities:
- Manage vendor Accounts Payable function including processing, tracking and following up on all payables
- Prepare month end and quarterly journal entries with adequate support / documentation
- Assist in monthly closing of the general ledger within the Intacct accounting system
- Responsible for the accurate preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Responsible for tasks such as researching variances, performing account analysis, and maintaining accounting system data
- Assist is the annual audit process with external auditors, including preparing audit schedules
- Assist in the creation of accounting policies
- Collaborate cross-functionally (with Sales, Marketing, Supply, Product) as necessary on reporting and ad hoc analysis requests
Key Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic individual excited to help enhance the accounting function at a faced-paced start up
- Self-starter with strong attention to details
- Driven to improve processes and passionate about operational efficiency
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles as well as sense of accountability and ownership in work
- High proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to work on multiple tasks
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, minimum GPA of 3.2
- 1-2 years’ relevant experience; public accounting preferred
