The Distribution Technology - Direct Sales team is looking for a Principal Software Engineer who is interested in developing large scale, full stack, customer-facing applications. As a Software Engineer, you will utilize customer-centric design thinking practices and standard Agile/Lean software development methodology to build best in class innovative solutions. The manager is also open to engineers with less experience if they have not lead teams.
In this role you will:

  • Collaborative partner: Working side-by-side with product and designer colleagues, you'll ensure quality through collaborative design and development.
  • Problem solver: Complex problems often require innovative, creative approaches-and you'll work to come up with outside-the-box solutions to solve them.
  • Customer-centric engineer: You understand who we're here to serve and the applications you engineer will keep the end-user front and center.
  • Forward thinker: Simply fixing the problem isn't enough; using your proactive mindset and initiative, you'll continually look for ways to improve performance, quality and efficiency.
  • Mentor new developers and junior developers.


Qualifications
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of professional experience
  • Extensive understanding of agile software development concepts and processes.
  • High proficiency with React, Node.js and GraphQL
  • High proficiency in testing frameworks and practices
  • Solid understanding of AWS and serverless/cloud engineering including the ability to build and integrate APIs
  • Strong familiarity with CI/CD processes
  • Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills with track record of taking solution ownership and delivery of quality engineering
  • Strong oral and written communication skills-and a knack for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineers
  • A collaborative, adaptable working style, demonstrated initiative and the ability to prioritize your time and efforts
