Lead design, analysis, and integration of avionics thermal management for unmanned aircraft. Develop and validate analytical, numerical, and CFD models, plan and run thermal tests, correlate data, advise PCBA and electrical design, and present technical findings while mentoring peers and driving robust thermal solutions.

Integrate autonomy software onto unmanned aircraft, prepare and validate flight-ready systems, support on-site flight tests, debug hardware/software integration, capture and analyze flight data, collaborate with autonomy/GNC/systems teams, improve integration processes, and assist with certification and compliance. Travel ~30-40% for tests and field events.

Integrate, characterize, calibrate, and validate multi-modal navigation sensors (IMUs, GNSS, cameras, altimeters). Develop test plans, calibration scripts, and data-processing tools; collaborate across electrical, mechanical, and software teams; support schematics, CAD, drivers, and lab-based sensor testing through production.

Develop and scale high-performance, deterministic aircraft subsystem models and simulation tooling in C++. Build infrastructure for automated testing (HITL/SITL, CI/CD), implement unit/system/regression tests, perform model verification and validation, analyze system performance, and collaborate with autonomy, embedded, GNC, and test teams to ensure simulation fidelity to real aircraft.

Design, implement, and deploy safety-critical navigation and state estimation systems for aerospace platforms. Develop EKF and GNSS/INS integration, multi-sensor fusion for GPS-denied environments, FDIR and integrity monitoring, and V&V test plans. Support certification, requirements allocation, performance analysis, flight test evaluation, and provide technical leadership and mentoring.

Design and implement high-quality embedded C/C++ software for X-BAT UAV avionics, integrate across firmware, autonomy, and GCS; participate in architecture and code reviews; build test systems including virtualized and HIL simulations; develop CI tooling, prototypes, and technical documentation; collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and report to leadership.

Lead survivability engineering for autonomous aircraft: design and optimize low-observable features, perform electromagnetic signature modeling and RCS simulations, lead RCS testing and validation, integrate RAM and LO coatings with multidisciplinary teams, translate mission threats into survivability features, and support customer/internal threat assessments throughout program lifecycle.
