- The Workday HRIS Technical Manager will report to the Director of HRIS and will be part of a group that supports many of the HR and People Operations functions including Workday and Joomla.
- He/she is responsible as for helping set strategy, and execute vision around security, integrations and analytics, including reporting and dashboards, security and integrations.
- This is a hands-on role where you will lead by consulting with the business to gather requirements, troubleshoot systems issues, and perform ongoing configuration/development of the systems.
- The role has global reach, interacting with clients in all geographies where TripAdvisor has employees.
- This resource will lead and deliver discrete projects within the systems group, which will sometimes involve managing resources from other groups within TripAdvisor and/or outside consultants.
- The ideal candidate will have considerable expertise in Workday, and exude a passion for all data dimensions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for Analytics Solutions, Data Management, Integrations, and Security
- Develops and maintains data acquisition strategy, process and methodology
- Project management, design and delivery for assigned projects
- Leverages Mastery-level knowledge of Workday to Lead in the configuration/development and deployment of new modules / functionality
- Lead initiatives that integrate Workday with other systems and help define technical requirements with the HR users and vendors
- Support and, or leads system upgrades/updates, including regression testing
- Creates advanced reports, dashboards and analytics
- Leverages independent judgement in obtaining superior results
- Evaluate, communicate and coordinate the technical impacts of Workday configuration decisions
- Educate users on the use and features of Workday
- Track issues and risks, communicate status and escalate concerns to management
- Assist and provide Level 3 Support on HR production issues
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- B.S. with Masters preferred
- 3+ years management experience
- 10+ Years business experience, preferably in the HR domain
- 5+ Years Workday experience, preferably as a Workday consultant certified in one or more of the following areas
- Workday Studio/Advanced Integrations
- Workday Advanced report writing
- Workday Core HR (Masterly-Level)
- Superior analytical skills including problem solving, attention to detail and clear communication of complex results
- Leverages broad workday expertise to provide a solution with options
- Excellent Business Analysis skills: Timeline Planning, Requirements Definition and documentation, test planning, deployment approaches
- Superior analytical skills including problem solving, attention to detail and clear communication of complex results
- Experience with strategic and tactical application of Big Data
- Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels within the organization
- Superior detail orientation, organization, and analytical skills
- Outstanding Excel skills and knowledge of MS Project or other Cloud based Project management tools (JIRA)
- Thrive on simultaneously managing multiple responsibilities
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growing environment with minimal supervision
- Leads in the delivery of HRIS strategies and goals that align with company objectives
- Experience with change management methods and programs a plus
- Works hard, but can laugh and have fun in the process
