As our Solutions Architect, Adobe, you will…

Be Accountable and Responsible

To guide MERGE’s clients in the implementation of Adobe Experience Cloud solutions, with an emphasis on Adobe Experience Manager. You will architect Adobe Experience solutions for clients in MERGE’s Health, Wealth, and Happiness industries, understanding how to build, migrate, and successfully deploy Adobe’s platform to create compelling experiences that delight and elevate the human experience.

You will understand how to design complex architectures from systems of record to systems of engagement, how to implement secure, resilient systems in partnership with client stakeholders in business and technology functions, and how to build them using agile and waterfall methodologies/teams and best practices.  You will have a foundational understanding of all layers of a digital platform from data to user experience.

You will support MERGE account teams in client education, solution design, planning, and estimation activities.  You will have a strong relationship with Adobe alliance managers, be a thought leader and brand ambassador for MERGE.

Driving Revenue

  • Participate in pre-sales calls with MERGE account teams and scope new projects by defining the modules, integrations, deliverables, and estimated level of effort to meet client needs. Support the sales team in translating this information into an SOW and roadmap and presenting it to prospective clients when requested. 
  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, conduct strategy workshops, design, and document technical solutions, translate business needs into technical execution, receive feedback, and present results.
  • Participate in Business Reviews to ensure clients strategically progress along the Adobe engagement curve and provide key insights into Adobe’s product roadmap and strategic acquisitions. 
  • Analyze clients’ technical environments from data to infrastructure to security to applications,  and where Adobe technology can drive business success. 

Delivering Client Work

  • Ensure a smooth transition and handoff of sold work and client definitions of success to Adobe project delivery teams.
  • Act as a trusted and objective advisor and own key client relationships.  
  • Effectively analyze complex technology issues, identify solution options, and secure client buy-in to recommended solutions where required.  
  • Provide technical architecture leadership in complex Adobe implementations. Be a champion for MERGE's best practices by coaching mentoring and driving technology delivery best practices from automation to documentation, and leading by example. 
  • Proactively seek ways to develop Intellectual Property (functional and technical) that can speed development and onboarding times.  Share developments with account teams and the broader MERGE technology community. 
  • Drive measurable continuous improvement of delivery and planning activities.
  • Develop relevant team member skills and promote the acquisition of certifications.

Create Innovative Solutions and Share your Knowledge

  • Create cutting-edge, effective, and efficient solutions and processes. Be innovative - think outside the box and identify better ways of doing things with emerging technologies.. 
  • Be a thought leader and ambassador for MERGE, including publishing thought pieces, social media promotion, speaking events, and webinars and participating in additional thought leadership opportunities in collaboration with the MERGE marketing team.
  • Lead the team in identifying, capturing, and distributing knowledge with clients, partners, and colleagues via direct and active interaction with Adobe and Adobe communities.  
  • Play a key role as a change agent in pursuit of constant tuning and improvement of MERGE’s Adobe practice.   
  • Proactively maintain the highest level of technical expertise by staying ahead of Adobe technologies through internally and externally available learning opportunities as well as self-study.  

These are the qualifications we’re looking for

  • 10+ years experience with Adobe technologies, with emphasis on Adobe Experience Manager
  • 10+ years experience of direct client consulting experience
  • Experience and expertise should include multiple AEM product areas (e.g. Sites, Assets, Guides) and demonstrate applicable knowledge of associated product feature areas
  • Adobe certification for Adobe Experience Manager Expert or Master preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into architecture, design, and development activities for sophisticated architectures with multiple active applications 
  • Ability to articulate technical solutions and business value to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to adapt to and work effectively with a variety of clients in multiple sectors and to establish credibility and trust quickly
  • Ability to work with sales teams and a strong understanding of structured sales processes
  • Desire to help build and strengthen a team-oriented environment and to mentor and guide others in Adobe technology both formally and informally
  • Experience and a strong understanding of On-Prem, Managed Services, Cloud implementation, and licensing models
  • Strong knowledge of integration and data platforms
  • Ability to multitask and strong context-switching
  • Experience and proficiency with multiple development and testing methodologies and DevSecOps and other automation tools.
