Software Engineer – Analytics

Sqrrl combines big data with data science and analytics to identify malicious and risky activity within the overwhelming amount of data facing Security Operations Center analysts.
We are looking for software engineers to join our analytics team – the team that creates and implements algorithms to identify troublesome activity. The analytics team combines data science, machine learning, and software engineering to build the cornerstone capabilities of Sqrrl Enterprise.

Sqrrl’s industry-leading Threat Hunting Platform unites link analysis, User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), and multi-petabyte scalability capabilities into an integrated solution. Sqrrl’s unique approach enables security analysts to discover threats faster and reduces the time and resources required to investigate them.
You have:
- 5+ years of professional software development
- Solid engineering practices
- Demonstrated ability to deliver well-tested, maintainable server code
- An understanding of how to deliver highly performant code
- Expert-level abilities in one or more of Java, Python, and Scala
- Familiarity with open source packages commonly used in data science and analytics
- Four-year Computer Science degree or equivalent
Bonus points:
- Experience with distributed systems, big data, and/or machine learning
- Previous experience in delivering enterprise software
- Startup experience
