As a senior member of the platform organization you will lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services that provide the foundation for new trading and consumer finance products.

What you'll work on

• Develop the core code and have overall responsibility for quality and delivery of the trading platform
• Collaborate with the trading desk on implementing algorithmic, real-time trading strategies

What you'll bring to Circle

• Strong technical leadership with a proven track record of designing, building and deploying secure, highly-available distributed systems
• An expert developer with a solid object-oriented programming background
• Hands-on experience developing in Scala, Java, or Python and working with SQL databases
• Adaptable and open to learning new technologies
• Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with other teams, listen to and share ideas and present concepts effectively
• Champion best practices and seek improvements to our agile processes, automated testing and continuous integration systems

Nice to have

• Experience building trading systems software
• Experience with quantitative trading
• Interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
