Title: Senior Director of Media Sales – North America

Based in: Boston, MA or NYC

Reporting to: VP - Americas Media Sales

Who we are:

Brightcove is looking for an experienced leader to develop and lead a new business sales team of Sales Directors and Account Executives in the North Americas media market. Our ideal candidate is someone who is extremely process-oriented, has extensive experience in pipeline management and closing complex deals within the media industry, and has a passion for coaching and teaching. Proven experience with broadcasters and digital video companies is strongly preferred.

 What you will do in this role: 

  • Develop and implement effective sales plans and strategies to drive success; help team build and effectively manage pipeline and sales funnel.
  • Lead deal reviews and contract summaries for key stakeholders.
  • Accurately forecast revenues and build territory strategies.
  • Monitor individual sales team results, evaluate sales results and implement corrective actions to improve results.
  • Manage the hiring, ongoing development, training, and success of the team of Sales Directors and Account Executives.
  • Travel when necessary to meet potential customers - must be willing to be on the road often.

What you will bring to this role:

  • 10+ years of sales experience with an outstanding record of achievement.
  • 3+ years in sales leadership with specific experience in developing successful sales teams and sales strategy.
  • Experience in complex sales pursuits with media companies.
  • Experience in consultative selling and presentations to executive level customers and partners.
  • Experience in presenting at industry conferences and trade shows.
  • Well versed in reporting to senior management and using SalesForce or similar tools.
  • BA/BS degree or higher.
