As our Scale-Up Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for the scaling-up extrusion of our experimental materials to be production team ready. In this role, you will take materials from the developmental phase to real-world, high-scale production. You have a keen eye for problem-solving and are able to formulate potential paths to resolution in the process. As you grow and want to learn new areas of production, you will have the opportunity to take on materials characterization and analysis equipment.

In this role, you will:

  • Run developmental extrusion lines
  • Monitor quality and adjusting extrusion parameters
  • Conduct experiments under the supervision of scientists/engineers
  • Define, write, and execute standard operating procedures
  • Maintain and troubleshoot of equipment
  • Maintain high-level of communications with cross-functional teams and partners

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering, or laboratory research
  • Problem-solving attitude and aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
