Function of the role:
As a Strategic Development Representative, you'll act as part of the Strategic Development Sales Team interfacing closely with marketing to convert partnership leads to viable business opportunities for Leyton.
The ideal candidate should be eager to advance in our organization and have keen business acumen, strong technical aptitude, and natural sales instincts. You should have the confidence, discipline, and drive to hunt for new customers. You will work closely with our Strategic Development Managers & marketing teams to drive new opportunities through outbound efforts and learn from some of the best!
Main responsibilities will include:

  • Pursuing leads sourced by partnerships, Leyton Webinars and Partner Webinars through phone and email activity to generate new business meetings across the US
  • Proactively targeting new organizations and prospective partnerships via phone and e-mail with the view to generate new business meetings across the US
  • Research into industries and identify new areas/businesses which Leyton can benefit
  • Opportunity to approach new sectors on behalf of the firm
  • Working in sectors ranging from Pharmaceutical, Dental, CPA, Financial, Aerospace, Automotive, Engineering, Digital Agencies, FinTech, Architecture, Brewing, Software and many more
  • Creating a pipeline of new business -with a $50K salary base - there is potential to make up to $125K as total compensation with commission!
  • Managing CRM


Desired experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1 year of experience in a sales-related role
  • Experience with SalesLoft and Salesforce strongly preferred
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and positive attitude
  • Keen interest in learning about, creating and deploying sales strategies
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment, while being responsible for individual goals
  • You will be on-boarded through a mixture of training on Leyton's services/products/solutions, as well as contextualized sales training to assist you with your day-to-day role
  • You will also be given the opportunity to shadow a number of other Leyton employees to learn how they interact with their prospects as an aid to your development
