Service Development Associate
The Role
As a member of the Service Development & Training team, the Associate will contribute to the development and improvement of Iora’s clinical operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to play a key role in a high growth, innovative healthcare company.
The position will be based in Boston, MA and will report to the Director of Service Development & Training. Some travel to our practices is required.
Specific Responsibilities
The position requires an individual excited to apply energy across a diverse set of projects and initiatives, including a combination of the following:
- Service development & improvement - collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities, develop improvements, and implement solutions
- Project management - prepare and deliver project artifacts for use in various formats, including verbal presentations, written summaries, slide presentations, etc.
- Research - conduct in-depth research and discovery on clinical and operational best practices; solicit input from subject matter experts and stakeholders
- Analysis - analyze opportunities for improvement; conduct interviews and observations; measure impact of process improvements and demonstrate ROI to company
- Implementation - develop process maps, checklists, templates, job aides, and guides to assist in implementation; coordinate implementation activities
- Support & troubleshooting - triage and respond to team members’ requests for help
The successful candidate will be:
- Empathetic and an excellent listener; able to engage and learn from internal customers
- An effective project manager with the ability to define and manage project scope, goals, and deliverables (experience with Scrum, Agile, and Lean is a plus)
- Uncomfortable with the status quo; a creative thinker and excellent problem solver

- Skilled in process mapping and quality improvement techniques
- An analytical problem solver; skilled in conducting analyses and using data to tell a story

- Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity, rapid change; an experimenter by nature

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of professional experience with a focus on process or quality improvement
- Consulting and/or industrial engineering background highly preferred
- Experience in healthcare industry and/or service operations highly preferred
- Team player who is driven by our mission to restore humanity to healthcare
