The SVP of Channel Sales is a key member of the senior executive leadership team and facilitates activities and provides analytical insight into actions and programs that drive sales, productivity, performance and results. This individual has broad responsibility to facilitate the channel sales process, technology, administration, analytics and other areas that impact sales results.

 

The SVP of Channel Sales has oversight responsibility for Channel Sales organization. As a senior member of the team, the SVP is expected to work autonomously and collaboratively, interfacing with other senior executives, in marketing, account management, product, operations etc. The SVP will identify issues and roadblocks that impede performance in any way and will be responsible for driving the actions that bring about improvement in overall sales performance.

Responsibilities

As the leader of the MIMECAST Global Channels, you will have the following primary responsibilities

 

  • Lead a team of regional channel leaders and channel operations teams in guiding them to drive strategies and actions to exceed revenue targets.
  • Driving new routes to market from a global and regional perspective.
  • Define the Channel and Alliances strategy focused on revenue growth targets.
  • Partnering with Regional and Local sales leadership to execute and align and execute against plans in all global regions.
  • Oversee project management in the identification, prioritization and execution of actions to address high impact offering readiness gaps.
  • Lead the team in the creation of sales plays and other sales activities designed to build stronger volume and revenue growth.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the sales plays in conjunction with the regional geography teams.
  • Effectively use data to recognize trends and anticipate challenges in the ecosystem.
  • Represent the business to the senior leadership teams across channel, sales and offering management from the product segment perspective.
  • Provide strategy, analysis, support, ideas and guidance to regional geography channel leadership teams.
  • Provide insight and requirements to Regional Sales Leaders on priorities, plans and execution.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Digital teams on product segment-specific plays, analyses, actions and sales activities.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have 15 plus years’ prior global alliances leadership experience in Enterprise Software (including Enterprise SaaS) driving partner revenue and growth with key Systems Integrators and Business partners through an enterprise sales force.
  • Experience managing both global channel sales and operations teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Must be a team player who is goal-oriented and confident, with aptitude and desire to build high-performing dispersed team. This individual must demonstrate an ability to get things done, build consensus, resolve conflict, and solve tough business problems, working in concert with others.
  • Strong capabilities in building and executing channel strategies by segment and geography, creating and presenting sales plans, setting milestones, measuring performance and being accountable for results to executive management.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills: the ability to obtain results in an organization that he/she does not control. Experience developing and implementing innovative strategies
  • Skills in data analysis and ability to utilize the data to “tell a story” and take action with key stakeholders to drive the best outcomes
