Overview

Indico is a venture-backed startup making the application of deep learning practical in the enterprise. Our focus is on helping to automate tedious back-office tasks, and improve the efficiency of labor-intensive document-based workflows. The fundamental branch of technology we use to achieve this is known as transfer learning, which allows us to train machine learning models with orders of magnitude less data than is required by traditional techniques, with a strong emphasis on NLP and text processing.

About the Position

As a Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for helping achieve Indico’s sales, revenue, and market share goals, while simultaneously developing a successful regional operation. This role reports to our SVP of Sales. You will assist in the development and implementation of regional sales strategies, and you will collaborate with our Partners to methodically target and win accounts. As a member of the Sales Team, you will deploy and teach stellar sales techniques to help manage inbound activity and outbound outreach. To support Indico’s rapid growth, you will help acquire talent, develop the Sales Team, and maintain our company culture.

You are a friendly and enthusiastic person with a proven record of successful software sales to enterprise customers. You are comfortable promoting machine learning and the impact of Indico’s technology on the bottom line for large organizations. You understand how to interact with a variety of stakeholders and are adaptable to the unique requests and challenges associated with each prospect and customer. You’re invested in having a life outside of work that is bolstered by a fulfilling job, not dominated by it. You look out for others and it shows in your willingness to listen to feedback and foster constructive conversation about personal and professional growth. With all that in mind, most importantly you have fun with it!

  • Create and maintain a regional plan to lead sales efforts and grow our customer base
  • Develop and manage accurate and predictable sales, revenue, and market forecasts
  • Work with our Partners to strategically pursue and acquire accounts 
  • Interact with qualified users and stakeholders to find the best way to solve particular needs and understand expectations
  • Communicate with customers to build key relationships and measure satisfaction 
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Technical Sales, and Product teams to distribute impactful communication and feedback throughout the organization
  • Ensure the success of your team by staying up to date with market trends and establishing challenging, yet attainable, metrics

Requirements

  • 15+ years of work experience
  • 10+ years of work experience in Enterprise Software sales
  • 5+ years of work experience managing a team
  • Demonstrated history of building and managing a Sales division in a technology company
  • Experience presenting complex technology solutions to a spectrum of stakeholders in an understandable manner
  • Extraordinary energy and drive to lead our regional sales strategy as we expand our footprint

Location

Indico Data's Boston HQ is currently out of Venture Lane near Governments Center. We have team members spread across the United States but the majority of the team is still in Boston and a few folks come in occasionally to use the co-working space!
