Executive Assistant – Legal Department (Boston, Mass.)

We are looking for an Executive Assistant in our Boston Office to support our General Counsel and three-person Legal Team. This person will need to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of groups, personalities, and dynamics, as well as collaborate with the company’s team of Executive Assistants in other departments to ensure overall coverage for the Leadership Team.
This is an opportunity for someone who is genuinely excited by new technologies, passionate about empowering others to do their best, is a quick learner, and has an interest and experience in legal matters and high tech. Experience with open source technologies, blockchain, and/or cryptocurrency is a plus. Willingness to learn, juggle tasks, and ramp up rapidly are a must. Direct experience is less important than being smart, efficient, enthusiastic, attentive to detail, and eager and quick to learn.

Our Executive Assistant - Legal Department:

  • Manages all administrative aspects of calendar (including travel planning) and contact management, including exercising judgment by filtering and prioritizing competing requests for time
  • Drafts, proofreads, and wordsmiths communications, interacting with outside law firms as necessary, including tracking of law firm invoices
  • Manages legal templates, DocuSign processes, and contract signing management for company generally, continually maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Partners with Paralegal to maintain excellent electronic legal files
  • Successfully manages the administrative needs of a associate attorney as well as the General Counsel
  • Is a key part of an inclusive environment that fosters collaboration and creativity both internally and externally

Your Qualifications & Our Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (work experience may be considered)
  • Proven work experience in administrative or executive support; experience working in a legal environment, either at a firm or in an in-house legal department a plus
  • Strong interest in technology and ability to interface with technology professionals
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills; highly responsive and interactive with ability to rapidly process auditory and written information that can be legal or technical in nature, able to take direct feedback and adjust accordingly
  • Demonstrable experience in exercising judgment when prioritizing information and scheduling
  • Creative, approachable, energetic, “can-do” attitude with ability to change direction in a dynamic environment
  • Extreme attention to detail; ability to prioritize workload and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to pivot quickly and adapt to competing and ever-evolving priorities
  • Strong proficiency in Google Work Suite with an expertise in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Slack, Fuze, and/or Certify a plus
  • Ability to work in-person in Boston Office during regular business hours
