Enterprise Account Manager

The edX Business Development team seeks to add an Enterprise Account Manager who can partner with senior level executives companies on increasing their internal use of edX courses by their employees. Our continued ability to deliver innovative solutions that redefine higher ed and professional learning is contingent on increasing our footprint in the corporate marketplace worldwide.

EdTech and workforce learning content is a multi-billion dollar industry that is ripe for disruption and edX is uniquely positioned to create significant change. Time to apply your consultative relationship management skills to a market hungry for an improvement in continuing education and employee reskilling.

In this role, you will work with the Enterprise Sales team to expand the utilization of our courses, curate, advise, launch, track, and meet with key customers to increase their consumption via our enterprise integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow enrollments in existing edX Enterprise client relationships.
  • From the Activation stage, to Adoption, and Advocate, own the entire post-sale process with Enterprise clients on select accounts throughout the customer journey.
  • Generate high-quality expansion pipeline and partner with BD team to drive revenue; regularly perform account mapping and white space exercises to inform relationship and growth strategies.
  • Ensure that Enterprise clients are extracting tremendous value from their overall experience with edX and specifically from the eLearning platform and ensure 0% churn
  • Leverage customer data to build a framework for measuring and monitoring the health of a client in real-time within Salesforce.
  • Become a trusted workforce transformation advisor to Enterprise clients. Work with Customer Success team to independently create custom course bundles from our catalog of over 2,000 courses; relative to customer criteria for skill level, timing against course availability, and budget.
  • Travel as needed, to meet with clients and manage course usages within the all aspects of each account, including regular communication and updates. Attend and present at customer or industry conferences where requested.

Qualification and Skills:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in related Account Management with demonstrated ability to understand learning/training industry, edX course product inventory, demonstrated ability to develop and expand client relationships, experience and collaborate with team on detailing processing order forms and contracts.
  • Experience uncovering upsell opportunities within an existing account client base.
  • Ability to negotiate clear and favorable contract terms in conjunction with Legal
  • Good consensus building and communication skills for both customer facing and internal edX audiences, to create, promote and sell special deals on their merits.
  • Demonstrated success in an Account Manager role where you were directly responsible for identifying, negotiating, deploying and contracting with existing clients and (channel partner experience as well is a plus) s, while maintaining revenue generating, ongoing business relationships.
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior level executive prospects in business, government, technology, or education, worldwide.
  • We are building a mission driven business. An entrepreneurial mindset is a must.
  • Must be willing and able to travel in US and internationally, approximately 25%
  • Past experience representing LMS, ERP, middleware, content, learning and training content or SAAS/platform sales a huge plus.
