The right candidate will play a critical role leading a growing team of Business Development Representatives as they initiate and develop relationships with key prospects. This team is the “tip of the spear” for the broader revenue organization, as they play a critical role in connecting our inbound and outbound marketing efforts to pipeline development and velocity.

We need a leader who can operationalize a business development model to achieve our current objectives and also has an eye on building for sustained growth in the future. This critical role, which is new to our organization, will partner with peers and leaders from across the Sales and Marketing organization to craft and deliver Rave’s value proposition.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a team of Business Development Representatives responsible for prospecting into target accounts and build out the future organization model 
  • Represent the Rave platform to prospects across key verticals to qualify potential opportunities
  • Ensure weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity performance goals are established and achieved
  • Develop and execute targeted calling and email campaigns to support marketing and sales activities including events, website leads and prospecting campaigns 
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing to constantly improve the lead generation process 
  • Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and coach Business Development Representatives focused on attracting and retaining top talent that has the ability to quickly grow and scale within the organization
  • Partner with Sales Ops to report on team/individual results, quantity & quality of leads, and pipeline creation and conduct measurement of Business Development program as a whole 
  • Create and maintain documentation on sales team best practices 

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 6-9 years’ experience in sales development, with at least 5 years’ experience leading a business development team 
  • Experience managing a team through leadership, teamwork, client focus, flexibility
  • Successful track record of developing meaningful client relationships 
  • Ability to recruit and coach a team of high-performing sales development reps to join your team 
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate the team to achieve excellence, and an ability to foster a “I love my job” culture  
  • Highly experienced in working with Salesforce 
  • Organized, detail-oriented and a proven track record of excellent documentation
  • Drive to work in an exceptionally fast-growing company
  • Passion for sales and pipeline creation
  • Competitive team player and leader
  • Strong knowledge of lead qualification methodologies
  • History of over-achievement in managing BDR teams
  • Strong communicator - written and verbal in order to build meaningful rapport through phone and email communication
