Business Development Director, North East Region

As the Business Development Director, you will be able to present and promote services and solutions to potential clients including new accounts, new business opportunities at existing accounts, and new marketing opportunities with the objective of establishing long term, mutually beneficial business partnerships.

Your day to day:
- Achieve annual sales plan and sales targets for assigned accounts
- Identify targets and develop strategies across territory in relation to eCS technology and service offerings
- Work with the Sr. Director of Business Development and eCS Marketing in identifying potential outreach, events, and/or campaigns to help develop assigned territory in support of meeting set sales objectives
- Meet established KPIs to ensure attainment of sales quotas and objectives
- Establish, nurture, and grow client relationships at the appropriate levels
- Develop account plans and partnerships with key accounts
- Provide weekly sales activity reports to management
- Provide general intelligence on key competitors
- Set and manage customer expectations
- Collaborate with companywide resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction
- Organize and host client visits and lead presentations
- Use Salesforce to manage internal communication and document territory and client information as required for the business unit
- Responsible for Opportunity Management and accurate pipeline forecasting
- Participate in proposal scope development as appropriate
- Maintain frequent personal contact with clients
- Participate in corporate teams to build relationships with key accounts

Qualifications:
- 4+ years of sales (or relevant) experience selling services/software directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech section with direct interaction with mid-level and executive level decision makers
- Experience selling clinical data services, IT or SaaS (Software as a Service) offerings
