Firecracker is looking for an Account Executive to join our sales team. We’re looking for fun, hard-working, competitive and self-motivated individuals who are inspired by the thought of working at an early stage start up that is revolutionizing the way people learn.

Job Responsibilities & Who we're looking for

The Account Executive position is responsible for successfully closing new institutional clients each quarter by explaining Firecracker value proposition to school administrators and faculty and by working with students who currently use Firecracker.

The Account Executive's job responsibilities are to develop an assigned territory by 1) Identifying the top medical institutions that could benefit from using Firecracker, 2) Prospecting to get in front of the right people at those medical institutions, 3) Understanding the key objectives and challenges of the prospects, 4) Building strong personal relationships and 5) Developing and executing against a strategic plan that close business. The Account Executive is expected to build and maintain a multi-million dollar pipeline and close $1M+ per year.

Specifically, we want someone who is/has:

  • Core values consistent with ours-hard work, integrity & team player
  • Energy, passion and a sense of humor
  • 5+ years experience successfully closing multi-year, $250K+ enterprise deals
  • Consistently been over quota and a Top Producer (as defined by results that put you at the top 5% of your peers)
  • Experience successfully executing complex sales cycles with administrators, student leaders and faculty of higher ed institutions (ideally medical)
  • Exceptional prospecting and closing skills
  • Confidence to deliver aggressive sales targets quarter after quarter 
  • Passion for educating potential customers about their pain and Firecracker's solution
  • Formal sales training a must: Consultative-selling style and Solution-Selling training strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Salesforce.com
