As the Senior Product Manager, Digital Apps, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with many teams across the organization to define a best-in-class app experience for farmers that spans our digital app ecosystem. In this role, you will lead the definition, development and adoption strategy for our Indigo Farmer native app and will have responsibility for the overall success of that product. This includes everything from market research, to getting into the nitty gritty with your agile squad, to collaborating with your product peers across other areas to determine which features and functionality make the most sense in a mobile experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify activities that are best-suited to a native app, and which tasks can be more effectively managed on web
  • Analyze competitive landscape and present an assessment of areas where Indigo can provide unique value
  • Act as the voice of the iOS or Android userPartner closely with the web application product managers to ensure a cohesive user experience for users who engage across all device platforms
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across the Indigo organization to:
    • Determine the short and long-term vision for your product
    • Define business impact of delivering on that vision
  • Manage the native app submission, review and approval process for Indigo Farmer app
  • Define and create detailed product roadmap to maximize the impact of native mobile apps for farmers who work with Indigo
  • Create and prioritize use cases
  • Evaluate partner strategy (internal and external)
  • Understand market competition and product positioning
  • Assume primary product ownership responsibilities (roadmap, user stories, prioritization, stakeholder buy-in) for native mobile iOS and Android apps using a "Mobile First" approach
  • Participate in agile software product management and development best practices; champion those best practices across the organization
  • Ensure that voice of the customer is a key component in prioritizing and defining your work
  • Establish clear and concise communications channels with cross-functional stakeholders (i.e. Business, Engineering, Marketing) to provide visibility into the plans for your product
  • Establish trust and ongoing communication with internal & external customers
    • Facilitate feedback on key decisions
  • Clearly articulate product value and your plans for increasing that value to senior management and across the organization
  • Partner with customer facing teams and marketing organizations to ensure continued adoption within key user segments

Competencies:

  • Extensive experience in native mobile application development - both for iOS and Android. Experience successfully bringing new applications to market and promoting user adoption is preferred 
  • High awareness of native mobile UX trends and best practices
  • Current knowledge of the application testing, submission and approval processes
    • Bonus if you have existing relationships with app store partners
  • Ability to balance customer-centricity, stakeholder expectations and technical feasibility for software product line, clearly articulating tradeoffs
  • Ability to define, gain buy-in from stakeholders and drive product vision for a specific software product or product line
  • Demonstrated ability to take complex problems and solutions and break them down to deliver incremental value
  • Highly aligned and deep understanding of company strategy, mapping strategy to execution
  • Process orientation with strong time-management skills and demonstrated ability to change course, as needed
  • Decisive and well-informed decision-maker
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively work as a member of a team, with great listening and oral and written communication skills
  • Able to structure and process qualitative and quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions
  • Proactively brings new ideas to the table, spanning people, process and product

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Native Mobile Product Management Experience
  • Proven track record of utilizing a "mobile first" approach to build and deliver customer-facing native mobile software applications
    • Bonus if first-to-market and or industry disruptor
  • High awareness of native mobile UX trends and best practices
  • Current knowledge of the application testing, submission and approval processes
    • Bonus if you have existing relationships with app store partners
  • Experience working directly with iOS and Android software engineering teams in an agile/lean development environment
  • Active Communication skills (communicating out and listening successfully)
  • Market-facing launch experience

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
