Senior Associate, Product Marketing - Guest

The Toast Product Marketing team is responsible for connecting the sales, product, and marketing teams by gathering market insights to inform product development and bringing new products to market through customer segmentation, value-based messaging, sales knowledge transfer, and cross-functional marketing activation.
In this role, you will lead & collaborate on key initiatives for Guest, a dynamic, high-growth pillar within Toast that empowers restaurants to deepen the guest connection and accelerate their business through products like online ordering, email marketing, loyalty, gift cards, and more! You will collaborate closely across sales, product, and the marketing team on product launches, positioning and messaging, content, and sales enablement. The ideal candidate enjoys tackling complex problems ‘head-on’, collaborating with highly diverse teams, while operating in a dynamic, high-growth environment with a strong bias for action.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Partner with the Product Marketing Manager for Guest & product managers to develop and execute key product launches & coordinate ongoing feature releases across Guest
- Partner with Sales Enablement to drive sales productivity through product knowledge transfer / training, collateral, updating CMS, value-based talk tracks, & proof points
- Partner with Marketing team to plan, create, and publish not only sales assets, but also ‘up our game’ on Guest prospect-facing content like our blogs, case studies, demo videos, website updates etc. with messaging & stories that differentiate us vs. other solutions
- Become the ‘resident expert’ on the voice of customer, competition & sales: conducting qualitative and quantitative research for Toast & competitors, shadowing sales teams, conducting win / loss interviews, & analyzing data with deep-dives on Guest funnel.
- Develop sales and marketing experiments to test hypotheses and inform GTM strategy
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Experience in a highly collaborative environment that can span product marketing, product management, sales, or sales enablement
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Can autonomously lead projects, while eager to learn and grow their skillset, scope and experience over time
- Strong analytical skills and experience with primary market research and data analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills: ability to build strong, compelling story lines and recommendations that are deeply evidenced in both quant and qual research to move cross-functional teams, sales, and customers to action
- Emotional intelligence - ability to empathize with our customers, their guests, and fellow Toasters in these highly uncertain times - with an eye for the ‘bigger picture’

- Experience with Salesforce and Looker preferred, but not required
- Hospitality industry experience [and / or passion for eating at restaurants] is a plus
