Product Manager
Haven Life is MassMutual’s in-house startup and innovation hub. We combine the culture of a startup with the stability and backing of a Fortune 500 company to create an environment that's truly unique.
Haven Life is headquartered in New York, but we recently opened the Haven Boston Studio to focus on bringing new digital financial products to market that solve the most pressing unmet needs of everyday Americans. The Haven Boston Studio recently launched its first product (AgeUp), a new and novel way for everyday Americans to prepare for the possibility of life after age 90.
Our diverse team is comprised of smart, collaborative people who think big, execute quickly, and don't take themselves too seriously. We’re located about 2 blocks from South Station, in a vibrant startup office.
If you're creative, professional, and kind, we'd love to hear from you.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Did you know that 1 out of 3 65-year olds today will live into their 90s, and that’s not accounting for future advances in healthcare and medicine? AgeUp is the first product designed to help families offset the costs of living exceptionally long lives. We're looking for a curious, creative product manager to enhance the product experience for AgeUp.
As the AgeUp Product Manager, you'll be responsible for improving the online experience in researching and buying AgeUp, as well as tackling conversion optimization challenges throughout the purchase journey. How will you get potential customers to recognize the value of AgeUp when there are no comparable products to compare against? What feature will you add to scale our growth beyond early adopters? How will you convince customers that this new product is legit? These are only some of the issues you'll be solving as a key member of the AgeUp team.
As a member of the Haven Boston Studio and the greater Haven Life team, you will also get the change to collaborate with and learn from an all-star team of over 250 engineers, marketers, designers, data geeks, and insurance nerds.
Our tech stack includes: Typescript / Node, React / Redux, Postgres, Docker / Kubernetes, Microservices, GitLab and AWS, as well as Salesforce for CRM / marketing automation and Google Analytics

Oversee production issues and resolution by coordinating across other product teams and 3rd party vendors
Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative customer data to inform product decisions and disseminate the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of our customers to the broader AgeUp team
Work with legal & compliance to ensure that AgeUp is done right
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of work experience, with 3+ years as a product manager
Experience defining and deploying features for a highly considered product or service that increase conversion
Experience building mobile responsive and adaptive applications
Know when and how to craft qualitative and quantitative feature tests
Clear and concise written communication with proven ability to understand and summarize large, complex and conflicting data
Attention to details with tenacity to pursue complex problems
Authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
Experience working with digital consumer products or eCommerce
Must be able to work full-time from our Boston office
NICE TO HAVES:
Prior work experience in fintech, insurtech, healthtech, or any regulated industry
BENEFITS:
We have a stellar team of co-workers, a really cool office, and lots of fun activities. Oh yeah, and we pay competitive base salaries and we reward performance. Our salary structure is commensurate with experience. In addition, you will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits program including medical insurance, 401(K), and even a pension plan courtesy of MassMutual.
