Product Manager (Internationalization)

WHOOP is seeking a Product Manager to drive the strategy, long-term roadmap, and overall product plan to internationalize (i.e. localize) the WHOOP product experience. In this role, you will partner closely with engineers, designers, and the broader product organization to determine how to accelerate our path to an internationalized product. In particular, you have a knack for building abstract frameworks to accelerate the development effort across many other product teams. This includes best practices, principles, and design patterns that can accommodate a product that needs to support multiple languages and regional differences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate ideation, development and delivery of product requirements across mobile, web, and back-end infrastructure
- Gather customer needs and feedback through frequent research/testing with an emphasis on non-native English speakers
- Synthesize research, analysis and stakeholder feedback into detailed product requirements
- Set a product strategy and roadmap and measurable goals for your team; set major development milestones and stay on track to hit them
- Work with engineering to plan the product infrastructure that will support localized versions of iOS, Android, and web applications
- Share best practices with other members of the product team for managing a global product supporting multiple locales
- Manage all product translation and localization efforts to ensure a “built here” member experience
- Perform engagement and retention analysis to inform, measure and iterate on product development
- Collaborate with designers and researchers to create and validate solutions that meet specific international customer needs
- Drive team to deliver a healthy and efficient cadence of product releases
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years building and scaling global digital products
- Strong awareness of complexities of international product design to accommodate translations and other regional differences
- Experience building and managing international products or software features that function differently due to translation and localization differences
- Experience working with software components across mobile and web
- Proven track record of identifying customer and business needs and converting them into application and operational requirements
- Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Passion for the fitness and wellness space
- Experience working in the consumer electronics space preferred
