About the job

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our growth team to oversee the strategic roadmap and vision for the Hopper homepage and all marketing web properties.

Despite the challenges of pandemic, Hopper managed to have triple digit year-over-year revenue growth in 2020. In fact, Hopper is recovering faster than the sector at large and that is driven in large part by the performance of our fintech products which offer travelers an unparalleled level of flexibility and control.

You’ll be responsible for creating and defining a roadmap for our brand website to generate installs and market new and existing product features like Price Freeze, Flexible Dates Plan, and Disruption Protection. We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven professional to help drive usage of our most critical products through the development of this new homepage.

Your key responsibilities will include creating and defining a roadmap for our homepage, key landing pages, SEO improvements, and CMS platforms. You’ll analyze and leverage data to make informed decisions and improve outcomes. You’ll collaborate with creative, comms, engineering, and product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive consumer awareness and adoption of Hopper’s fintech features like Price Freeze, Refundable Ticket Plan, Flexible Dates Plan, and Missed Connection Rebooking
  • Work closely with business verticals across Hopper to plan and prioritize website development and optimization leading ongoing site updates, changes, and landing page builds as well as broad scale architecture and design updates
  • Manage product lifecycles, launches, and follow-up releases.
  • Understand and be able to distill complex data sets into key findings, actionable insights, and experiment recommendations for future iterations
  • Manage dependencies and navigate through potential roadblocks
  • Work with engineering team to prioritize and map out execution plans

Benefits

  • Well-funded and proven startup with large ambitions, competitive salary and stock options
  • Unlimited PTO
  • WeWork All Access Pass OR Work-from-home stipend
  • Entrepreneurial culture where pushing limits and taking risks is everyday business
  • Open communication with management and company leadership
  • Small, dynamic teams = massive impact
  • 100% employer paid medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance plans
  • Access to a 401k

More about Hopper

Today, Hopper is best known as a travel app. We're going to do about $1B in sales this year and weathered the COVID storm better than anyone expected. We just raised $170M from Goldman Sachs and Capital One, and inked a deal to be the exclusive travel provider for Capital One Travel.

We owe our success, in large part, to a proprietary suite of data-driven and risk-based financial services that we have developed that complement a customer's trip-purchasing experience. One example is Price Freeze, where our customers are able to purchase a financial option in the app to lock in any price that they see, on any item, for as short as 1 hour or as long as 21 days with Hopper taking the risk on the other side of the trade.

Now we're laying the groundwork for continued expansion in 2021 by adding great people to our team who can help us compete with the travel giants.
