The Product Owner for Enterprise Voice serves a key role in developing the next generation voice and omni-channel customer experiences for Humana. The Product Owner owns, maintains and prioritizes the product backlog for the scrum team. They share the product vision and work closely with the Business Owner, Product Manager(s), Scrum Master(s) and Delivery Manager(s) to ensure the team delivers value to the end users and the business.

 

Responsibilities

 

This leader will work with key business and IT partners to develop strategic plans for the technologies impacting Member, Provider, Employer and Agent/Broker service call centers. This individual is a self-starter; with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities without being provided explicit direction. Strong presentation skills, analytical skills and a passion for improving consumer experiences using technology are essential.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the product backlog and prioritization of user stories with team members
  • Create business user stories
  • Practical understanding of Scrum principles and practices
  • Partners with Scrum Master in supporting Scrum Framework
  • Shares and decomposes Features into user stories (non-technical)
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer and product needs
  • Recognized voice of the business to the team
  • Works closely with Product Manager to represent capabilities and features at team level
  • Business requirements are represented in the product backlog
  • Ensures traceability between requirements to Features to user stories
  • Review of test cases against user stories acceptance criteria
  • Periodically re-prioritize the Product Backlog based on customer feedback, market changes and business priority as communicated by the Product Manager
  • Formally accepts the user stories once all acceptance criteria are met and demo-ed
  • Actively participates in Product Backlog grooming sessions, retrospectives, defect management and project team’s release planning sessions
  • Access-able for the team to answer questions, and during Sprint planning sessions, and Daily Scrum
  • Owns the continual acceptance criteria for business value story user stories, which is Demo-ed by the team

 

Based on current guidance from the CDC, local and state governments, and Humana leadership related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak have extended travel restrictions until further notice. The policy will be reassessed as the situation warrants. Once these restrictions are lifted this role will require up to 10% overnight travel depending on business needs.

               

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 3 years minimum of additional relevant experience
  • 3 years of experience with Product Owner, Project Management and/or Business Analysis within the Voice or Digital user experience space
  • Experience driving teams and management to decisions
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Experience working with various teams simultaneously
  • Experience systematically analyzing problems, drawing relevant conclusions, and devising appropriate courses of action
  • Must be able to travel up 10% and an occasional evening or weekend depending on business needs

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively break down barriers to maintain progress on initiatives

Work at Home/Remote Requirements

  • Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings

  • Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
