The Confluence Mission Control team leads Confluence monetization, including our Editions strategy and feature-sets to lead upsell, the Admin Experience, Automation, and Permissions. The capabilities we bring our most powerful experiences and controls to thousands of customers. Atlassian's unique self-serve model means our products lead revenue growth in a unique way, and Mission Control represents the linchpin for how we grow the Confluence business.
As Group Product Manager for Confluence Mission Control, you'll lead and build a team of PMs focused on how we grow our business, meaning that you love recruiting, mentoring, and developing qualified candidates, while inspiring them to build the best product possible.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the vision, strategy and execution for Confluence Mission Control
- Ensure Atlassian cloud products are loved by customers migrating from on-premises deployments, while making them easier to administer
- Mentor and inspire a growing team of 2-3 experienced Product Managers
- Identify new business opportunities for Atlassian
- Be a subject matter expert within Atlassian on admin needs as you promote internally
- Make it easier for customers to secure their most important work
- Work directly with design and engineering to ship fabulous products while having a customer focus
- Make a large impact across our product family and influence millions of users and thousands of customers for decades to come
- Report to a Senior Group Product Manager of Confluence
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- 7+ years of product experience with an understanding of cloud software
- 2+ years of people management experience with a love for developing and mentoring Product Managers, while holding them accountable for multiple streams of work
- Experience growing teams who can deliver on complex and dependent projects in a multi-year mission
- Clarity of vision for your product / portfolio that provides the team with direction and inspiration
- The ability to distill abstract challenges into strategy and break that down into a cohesive plan that empowers teams to turn problems into user and Atlassian success
- The technical know-how to partner with engineering to work on the roadmap you define
- The ability to tell a compelling story at the right level to inspire any audience
- Experience nailing hard problems and imparting that knowledge to your PM teams via frameworks and stories
- Ability to encourage your teams to build better products with a constant dedication to understand, question, and improve the experiences for our users
