From the morning essentials that get us started to the office space that inspires and supports our productivity, the Workplace Operations team is there to make it happen. As the Workplace Lead, you will support efforts to ensure Compass’ offices are a great place to come to work. Your expertise lies in your customer service, problem-solving, and execution abilities in a rapidly expanding regional environment. You will manage a team, oversee a full suite of external vendors and service providers, and lead the charge in fostering an environment that inspires creativity and innovation.


At Compass You Will:



  • Manage, empower, and provide hands-on support for your team, making sure your direct reports have the necessary resources to be successful.
  • Manage vendor relationships, budgets, purchases, standard operating procedures, and documentation.
  • Ensure facilities standards, security, and aesthetics are maintained by holding team accountable for conducting daily quality-assurance walkthroughs.
  • Serve as a trusted resource and play an integral role in onboarding and training team members.
  • Partner with various members of the Workplace Operations team to execute special projects and initiatives.
  • Plan and execute meetings and events in partnership with local teams.
  • Expertly and successfully answer questions and resolve escalations that come your way.



What We Look For:


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of workplace operations experience with an emphasis on facilities, hospitality, corporate services, or equivalent office management experience.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of people management experience.
  • Previous experience managing multiple locations, preferably across different cities.
  • Experience using business software programs including Google applications.
  • Able to travel to different offices up to 50% of the time.
  • Experience managing budgets with strong financial, contract management and purchasing skills.
  • Solid knowledge of property management, food service, leases, construction terms and practices, and industry trends.
  • Experience growing a portfolio of office from the ground up or prior experience in a high growth organization.
  • Service-minded and strong customer service focus, flexible and open to new ways of doing business.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple requests and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask, establish priorities, meet deadlines and make sound decisions.
  • Solid stakeholder management, leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
