Unified Communications Specialist/Collaboration software administrator

The Unified Communications Specialist will be responsible for the support, maintenance, installation, upkeep of various communications and collaboration technologies managed by the IT Operations department at Toast. Technologies focused on include conferencing, meeting spaces, video and audio communications, text and chat messaging. As Toast grows and embraces a mix of office, remote, and hybrid ‘work-from-anywhere’ workstyles, there is a need for well-designed and well-maintained audio, visual, and collaborative experiences and tools. The individual in this role will work on a small team and closely with several cross-functional teams to deliver world-class experiences to Toasters locally and globally.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Maintain the hardware, software, and processes that support Toast’s Audio-visual communications and collaboration
- Facilitate the behind-the-scenes and technical aspects of departmental and company-wide all-hands meetings and webinars
- Administrate systems that support Toast’s business activities
- Stay up to date on technology trends and recommend new/improved solutions
- Test and evaluate new technology solutions for use at Toast
- Implement newly purchased/adopted communications technologies
- Keep up to date inventory of all audio visual equipment at all Toast offices
- Work closely with our Workplace Experience and Real Estate Team on new office build outs and workspace/office technologies
