Travel, reviews, media, community, it's a brand that encompasses so much under one roof and amongst its subsidiaries. Every day is different and having a wild imagination, creative instinct, consumer-driven mindset, and a penchant for vivid storytelling is what internal communication means to a global brand B2B and B2C. In this enterprise-wide function, the Internal Communications Senior Specialist will be at the helm of a small but mighty team that serves as the centralized communications hub for TAMG and its 3000+ global employees. 

In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Internal Communications and have a hand in shaping this new function for TAMG. In addition to providing a robust administrative backbone to the internal communications department, this person will be keen to execute strategies that help keep employees informed, motivated, and aligned on the company goals, priorities, and its unique culture virtually and/or in an office setting. 

In this fast-paced environment, innovation, flexibility, and agility are crucial to understanding the evolving needs of a business that consumers and industry look to for trends, information, opinions and so much more. Having the foresight to anticipate challenges, and hindsight to make informed decisions,  finding the gaps in processes, understanding and interpreting data and analytics while being mindful of a global employee base's nuances is essential for this role. This person's work will include:

  • Leader Communications Support: Supporting internal communications activities targeting all company employees on behalf of the People Operations organization, including supporting the Chief People Officer, Employee Experience (facilities and work culture); Benefits; Learnings and Development; Recruiting; Equity Diversity and Inclusion, Social Impact including supporting senior leadership at Tripadvisor during internal communications events, e.g., town halls, all-hands etc.
  • Planning Support: Developing comprehensive communications plans, strategies, and programs that help articulate important company initiatives driving company culture and alignment around strategy including project managing, maintaining and updating editorial calendars 
  • Content Development: Writing, editing, and writing some more! Working in partnership with People Operations and Communications leadership, drafting email communications to announce important news, newsletter content, town hall scripts, Intranet site content, Slack communications, responding to internal and external town hall questions, employer review websites, etc. Bonus points for candidates with video editing skills. 
  • Content Management: Management of key technology channels to communicate to the company, e.g., People Operations email outreach, Passport (the company's intranet), Slack, AirTable, etc.
  • Awards: Identify and submit applications, working in partnership with colleagues on the Communications team, to employer awards programs, including Best Places/Most Innovative places to work, executive spotlights, etc.
  • Creating and curating daily, weekly, and quarterly news
  • Succinct writing for a variety of stakeholders, including employees and managers
  • Creating buzzworthy social media content fuelled by internal global stories

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years experience in a communications driven environment (open to any professional background)
  • Exceptional grammar, writing, and presentation skills. Being detailed is a must in every aspect of this position. 
  • Have a 360 degree perspective when working with a global audience
  • Knowledgeable about global consumer and organizational trends 
  • Motivated and flexible planner and collaborative colleague 
  • Strong project management skills and the proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple assignments 
  • The ability to work with a variety of different people from all walks of life
  • The ability to plan and execute comprehensive internal communications as a media hub for information, culture, learning, and storytelling.
