The Senior Cyber Data Protection Engineer develops communicates security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks to our customer groups and internal sales teams. The role requires sales understanding and experience in being the technical advisor to our sales and account management teams and will include tight integration with those areas.

 

Responsibilities

 

Cyber Client Inquiries is responsible to respond to regulatory questionnaires and audits on behalf of Humana.  These are critical to Humana’s ability to continue to do business in the various states and federal levels.  Cyber Client Inquiry associates are the front line between Humana's clients, regulatory requirements, Humana’s Business segments, and Humana’s cyber security teams.  They work directly with sales, account management, compliance and risk teams to respond to client cybersecurity questions and client security audits. The role may also require direct sales discussions with the client groups as part of RFI and RFP processes.   In addition to responding to questionnaires, the role requires negotiation of security provisions in client contracts and communicate those requirements to security and IT leadership for implementation as needed. 

Activities shall include:  

  • Work directly with Sales teams to appropriately respond to sales opportunities
  • Communicate and explain  Humana’s information security strategy
  • Educate and Sales and account management staff on information system security capabilities and program.
  • Develop, execute and track the requirements of client agreements to ensure Humana is appropriately meeting those requirements
  • Design client security strategy and engineer comprehensive plan to meet the individual requirements of each client
  • Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management
  • Understand and appropriately negotiate client agreements to minimize Humana costs while meeting client’s needs.
  • Meet with clients and regulators to answer questions and discuss Humana’s cyber security program
  • Negotiate client security agreements
  •  Develop and maintain response database in order to provide consistent responses to clients and regulators.

               

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Customer and Sr. leadership presentation experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for the customer
  • Contract Negotiation
  • 3 years experience in Cyber Data Protection

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Business or a Technical Field
  • 2 years experience in leadership position
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Sales or Sales Engineer Experience
  • Security Certifications
  • Paralegal or someone with contract negotiation background
  • Significant customer service experience
  • Security background (need not be an expert  but needs broad understanding of security)
  • Ability to communicate extremely well in both written and verbal form
  • Comfortable in speaking with and influencing individuals much higher up the “food chain” than they are.
