POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a tech-savvy senior operations manager with excellent leadership skills and an ability to influence and drive the operations team. The nature of the role requires someone who is motivated by driving process improvements, solving issues, and is extremely comfortable using technology. The ideal candidate has well-honed project management skills in a construction or lighting efficiency application and proven experience with managing a growing team.

Compensation Range: $75k-$90k (depending on qualifications and experience) + benefits along with paid holidays & vacation time + performance bonuses + quick growth.

High performer manager will have the opportunity to be promoted and become a part of the Executive Management team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, project management, and office technology applications
  • Lead and grow operations team of 5+ members including project manager and warehouse manager
  • Manage and build upon the existing IT infrastructure of the company to drive improvements and operational efficiency
  • Source and negotiate installation contracts with electrical contractors nationwide to execute projects within set budgets and timeline
  • Learn our product offering in order to understand the optimal solution for varying applications
  • Supervise on-going projects to ensure work is being done on schedule while meeting client and utility guidelines, as well as managing strategic projects directly as needed
  • Effectively track status of multiple lighting efficiency projects while ensuring management and sales representatives are kept up to date on project progress
  • Understand and drive decisions to overcome challenges during project installations

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • At least 5 years work experience in a leadership operations role
  • Experience with successfully managing a growing team in a challenging working environment
  • Knowledge of lighting, electrical or construction principles is a plus
  • Demonstrated interest in energy efficiency and lighting technology
  • Enthusiastic and comfortable with leveraging technological tools and applications to improve daily operations

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and team player qualities
  • Professional attitude and ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook, as well as flexibility to learn and utilize in-house software applications
