Security Director

As Security Director at MORSE, you will be executing a wide breadth of both hands-on and managerial activities fundamental to the day to day security of MORSE. You will build a robust security program focused on the overall protection of people, buildings, and assets. The primary area of responsibility entails a wide range of classified government programs. The Security Director will develop and build a team to execute this program. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience building an industrial security program from scratch.
General Responsibilities:
Strategizing, developing, and growing a company-wide security program to safeguard people and materials, documents, property, and physical assets relating to both classified and unclassified programs
Develops and implements plans to protect corporate assets while minimizing corporate risks, liabilities, and losses
Experience in counterproliferation, protection of intellectual property, export compliance, international travel safety, and various incident management methodologies
Be conversant with, and have a working knowledge of, classified contracts and DD Form 254's
Responsible for strategizing, developing, and growing a security program capable of maintaining compliant information systems (IS) that process classified information, by partnering with IT
Recruit, manage and grow a small team that may consist of ISSMs, ISSOs, and administrative security support personnel
Manage construction, approval, and maintain accreditation of NISPOM and ICD-705 spaces
Perform daily activities in JPAS and DISS
Develop and maintain SSP's, including for Special Access Programs
Serve as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official
Serve as the company's COMSEC Custodian
Develop and administer security-related training to employees per regulations, and IAW best in class standards
Perform security audits, pre-inspections, and industrial security investigations and report writing per the NISPOM, ICD, and other regulations
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to include legal, IT, HR, and Contracts to conduct joint investigations, developing and maintaining workplace violence intervention, insider threat, active shooter, business continuity, and other such programs
A minimum of 10 years experience in FSO, CPSO, and or ISSM roles
Deep experience managing teams supporting National Security initiatives
Deep understanding and strong working knowledge of the NISPOM, ICD, and other regulations
Experience with JPAS, DISS, SWFT, and NCAISS
Familiarity with eMASS and the Risk Management Framework desired
Experience building, developing, and maintaining a security education program
Must have a proven track record of successful government security inspections
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the identified security responsibilities. Ten (10) years' experience in some combination of corporate security, law enforcement, security industry, and or intelligence organizations. Five (5) years' of management experience directly relating to the establishment of government or industrial security programs
Must be a US citizen with a current Secret clearance and eligible for a DoD, SAP, SCI, and other government agency security clearances. Must be able to receive and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Unique Skills:
The most critical responsibility is developing an enterprise-wide security strategy that is fully integrated and coordinated with the leadership team. To do this, the Security Director must identify the company's most vital risk and prioritize security resources transparently and cost-effectively while measuring for efficacy.
Ability to effectively communicate in a commercial business environment, particularly with leadership. Experience with coordination of security services while partnering with IT, HR, and Legal
Directs the study and implementation of current and new federal security regulations that apply to company operations, and procedures for handling, storing, and maintaining classified information and other levels of sensitive information
Develops and implements methods of inspection, audit, and analysis of all security functions to determine reasonable performance levels and cost-effectiveness. Oversees all government security inspections
Monitors federal security trends, advises senior management and personnel about planned initiatives, and creates procedures and implements appropriate response actions consistent with MORSE's strategic objectives
Company liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement and security agencies, contractors, and senior corporate staff. Participates in Government Security Advisory Groups
