Procurement Manager
Dimension & Scope:
Netcracker is looking for a Procurement Manager to lead our global procurement initiatives. This role reports directly to the Company's CFO and will work closely with key business stakeholders, global suppliers, and strategic customers. The right candidate will build out and manage the procurement process of negotiating supplier agreements, identifying opportunities for sourcing initiatives, and scaling the procurement function from start to finish. This position will also provide both strategic and tactical support for sourcing activities and contract negotiation to provide excellent long-term value.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead negotiator for all key supplier contract negotiations for hardware, software and services
- Act as a business relationship manager and provide all contract negotiation support to each functional and business unit organization as needed
- Develop and coordinate new policies and procedures regarding procurement processes
- Creates and maintains mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers
- Prepare and hold business reviews with stakeholders to review vendor performance, future opportunities, and challenges
- Develop, negotiate and manage large and critical vendor relationships and contracts for Netcracker
- Leverage analytics to identify ways to reduce and optimize current and future spend including planning, forecasting, governance, and compliance
- Research skills to discover profitable suppliers; work with vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Initiate business and cultivate partnerships
- Monitor approval of accounts to maintain an appropriate degree of control over vendor relationships.
Education & Professional Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- MBA, Advanced Degree a plus
Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of successful work experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer, or another relevant role.
- Strong working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an aptitude for reading the market.
- Experience working in the Telecommunications and Technology industry
- Advanced understanding of procurement practices – focus on business process improvements
- Exceptional talent in negotiating and networking.
- Solid knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
- Outstanding decision-making skills and ability to work well with numbers.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
