At DraftKings, we are seeking new talent to join our Technical Operations team! The Network Engineer will have the unique opportunity to work with modern and highly scalable global network systems. You must be an avid technology enthusiast with experience supporting production datacenter network hardware, office network hardware, cloud networks as well physical and virtual WAN/EPL links employing advanced routing protocols.

You will play an important role in a growing organization as part of a highly skilled and technical infrastructure team that automates, builds, and maintains our growing worldwide IT infrastructure that is critical to the success of the business. You will be hands-on and expected to take ownership of network design, implementation and support as well ongoing vendor management of network related services. You will be responsible for managing, administering, and supporting infrastructure across all our offices, global datacenters and cloud providers.

What you will do:

• Administer/Design/Implement LAN/WAN Network for offices, datacenters and other remote facilities
• Identify, research, and implement network improvements or additions
• Design/Create/Implement new networks and their associated management processes
• Switch, Router, Load Balancer and Firewall configuration & administration
• Windows and / or Linux server administration a plus
• Work alone and with groups to identify root cause and resolve issues with network systems
• Document and Map entire LAN/WAN
• Document issues and resolutions in an incident tracking system
• Communicate information in regards to planned outages, unplanned outages and system performance issues to the appropriate parties
• Be part of an on-call rotation

What you will need to bring:

• Versatile network engineer (CCNA level or higher)
• Experience installing and configuring Aruba/Procurve/Cisco switches and routers
• Should be able to implement trunking and LACP links
• Experience managing Sonicwall NSA enterprise class firewalls
• Understanding of OSI model and how traffic operates at each level
• Ability to implement and troubleshoot issues with IPsec and end user VPN tunnels
• Experience managing WANs, including site to site VPNs, EPL links between facilities & cloud direct connects
• Good understanding or network protocols such as HSRP, VRRP, BGP, OSPF and Spanning Tree
• Good understanding of network different cabling technologies (STP, UTP, SM Fiber, MM Fiber etc)
• Very autonomous, able to troubleshoot issues and come up with solution (hardware or configuration)
• Follow processes (change management system, documentation, etc..)
