Indigo improves grower profitability, environmental sustainability, and consumer health through the use of natural microbiology and digital technologies. Utilizing beneficial plant microbes and agronomic insights, Indigo works with growers to sustainably produce high quality harvests. The Manager, Marketplace Strategy team is responsible for executing on key priorities identified by the Marketplace leadership team and executive leadership. These strategic priorities may include developing and implementing Marketplace strategies and tactics, assisting the Marketplace operational teams with setting and achieving targets, and leading the development of the annual Marketplace business strategic plan. Activities often involve developing and implementing high-level strategic plans, long-term organizational planning, financial forecasting, setting and executing towards sales targets, developing end-to-end processes to ensure long-term business success, and building and managing teams of Indigo executives.

Key Outcomes for Manager, Marketplace Strategy

1) Partner with the Head of Marketplace Operations, Marketplace GMs, and other Indigo executives to drive and own the highest Indigo priorities from idea through implementation

  • Build strategic, operational and execution-oriented plans to execute on building and achieving key priorities
    • Marketplace sales goals
    • Marketplace operations strategy (partner with Marketplace GMs, Sales Ops, Grower team)
    • Strategic Marketing

Other impact initiatives including go-to-market strategy, annual strategic plan

2) Lead new business plan creation, start up new businesses, stand up new functions and initiatives

  • Work with the Head of Marketplace Operations, Marketplace GMs, Corporate Development, and other Indigo executives in developing new business plans
    • Previous examples
      • Grain Marketing Advisors
      • Elevator segment

Work across the organization and key executives in starting up new business lines within Indigo with organizational alignment

3) Partner with the Head of Marketplace Operations to design, structure, develop, mentor, and build the Marketplace team into the highest performing team anywhere

Recommend team design, structure, size as well as improvements

4) Attract and develop a team of A players into the highest performing team anywhere. Manage a team of 1-3+ people over time

Fills key team roles with A players on par with Corp Dev standards

Qualifications

  • 5+ years consulting experience at a Tier 1 consulting firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in business (MBA a plus) with strong academic achievement 
  •  7 - 10 years of work experience

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
