The Clinical Performance and Strategy team is responsible for:

  • developing the measures, systems and processes to empower local care teams to manage toward those goals
  • providing central programmatic support for key initiatives with impact on those goals (population health management, behavioral health integration, Quality/Stars, preferred network management, hospital transitions, telehealth, e-consultation)
  • informing key clinical strategic decisions at the company and market level

The Manager will work closely with the VP for Clinical Performance and Strategy and other business and clinical leaders to develop and implement comprehensive strategies to manage and drive improvement in total medical expense, quality and clinical outcomes. The scope of work includes but is not limited to:

  • Development and support of Iora’s Network strategies
    • Define and supervise analytic approach to identify high value clinical partners for inclusion in a preferred network.
    • Work with market leaders to identify opportunities and build a structure for outreach, relationship building and feedback to our downstream partners.
    • Evaluate and build the business case for strategic partnerships that expand our leverage upstream or downstream of typical primary care.
    • Work with EHR and Clinical Design teams to integrate decision support into care team referral tools and workflows.
  • Clinical Performance analysis and feedback
    • Work with analytics, finance and market leadership teams to
      • design actionable, accurate performance reporting that reflects key process and outcome measures.
      • develop and support forums for review of population health data with front line care teams and managers.
  • Population Health Program Management and Implementation
    • Track overall portfolio of CP+S projects/initiatives and integration with other key functional teams’ work plans.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert within the organization on population health strategy, tools and processes.
    • Work with market leaders to plan implementation of company-wide clinical performance initiatives or strategic programs and to inform the priorities of Iora’s clinical and EHR design teams.
    • Work with Financial Planning and Analysis to track and evaluate the impact of initiatives and programs.
    • Work with VP for Clinical Performance and Strategy, Director of Behavioral Health and Associate Medical Director to build quarterly and annual plans for the CP+S function.
    • Build-out and manage a team of direct and dotted line reports in the market.

Required skills:

  • Excellent organizational, project and program management skills; experience leading change and implementing programs in a clinical setting.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including familiarity with data and using business intelligence or data visualization tools (e.g Tableau, Looker).
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective, collaborative partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team; aptitude and interest in people management.
  • Proficient in office software programs
  • Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment.

This position is based in Boston, MA and involves some local and national travel.

Experience:

  • The preferred candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in healthcare / population health / working with healthcare providers; or other similar fields.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working across sectors, in a fast-growth, fast-paced environment, and/or in a highly complex, matrixed organization.
  • Graduate degree (MPH, MBA) or equivalent experience preferred
