Junior Infrastructure Engineer
Position Summary:
The Junior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. They install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve the our operating environment. They also maintain the ongoing reliability, performance and support of our corporate infrastructure. This includes monitoring the operating environments, responding to incidents, problems and planning for growth.
Junior Infrastructure Engineer deploys new technologies as well as designs, installs, configures, and maintains PC/server operating systems, networks, and related utilities and hardware. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting problems as reported by users, supporting Web access and electronic messaging services and maintaining a secure systems environment.

In collaboration with the Director, Information Technology you will drive innovation in our technical operations and solutions and have an opportunity to access the needs of the organization, research various technologies to address opportunities, and then implement them.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently, and as part of the IT Operations Team, to design new and differentiated solutions for our users (ex. employees)
- Deliver, administer, and support a high-availability, cloud-based infrastructure and its associated third-party product offerings
- Administer Windows domain infrastructure, Active Directory Group Policies, and scripting for automation of user and computer management
- Lead initiatives around network and infrastructure security, monitoring, and incident response
- Participate in IT Operations Team helpdesk rotations; serve as an escalation point for helpdesk engineers and provide exceptional support to all organization users
- Work to continually automate wherever possible
- Lead projects through various phases of project management lifecycle and closely document components so others can learn and replicate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science, and/or 3-5 years equivalent IT experience
- Minimum 3 years experience as Windows System Administrator with current version
- Minimum 3 years experience administering Internet Security Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, NAT, DMZ, and VPN technologies
- Experience with at least one of the following scripting languages: PHP, Python, PowerShell. One language should have multiple years of in-depth experience
- Experience supporting Mac endpoints and virtualized computing environments
- Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions
- Focused on solutions, good at overcoming problems: employee continually applies creativity and a disciplined approach to overcoming problems and road blocks
- Experience supporting users in a high-velocity, agile environment
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical documents
- Certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, MCSA, CCNA are a plus
- Experience in a highly regulated industry, or healthcare industry, is a plus.
