About the Role: 

The Senior Systems Engineer will provide technical assistance to all GradientAI staff, including the installation, upgrade, and troubleshooting of hardware and software applications and ensure the organization’s important data and systems remain safe and intact. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Set up mac computers and business applications and onboard new GradientAI employees 
• Respond to service requests through our ticketing system, email, in person, or via slack for troubleshooting and technical support 
• Install and update company software and hardware as needed 
• Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems 
• Monitor for potential threats using security controls and technical compliance; implement security measures when needed 
• Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items 

Qualifications: 

• 4+ years' experience in a desktop support/business applications or systems engineer role  
• Experience working in a MACOS and Linux environment is needed; working knowledge with Windows 
• Experience managing business applications like Slack, Zoom, SharePoint, Salesforce or similar; bonus points if you have experience with Okta
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities 
• Outstanding problem-solving and critical thinking skills 
• Good organization, time management, attention to detail, and prioritization
