IT Desktop Support Technician
Demiurge Studios is a rapidly growing video game developer based in Cambridge, MA. Creating games is our passion and we bring years of expertise to our projects. The teams at Demiurge build fun, accessible games like our hit, Marvel Puzzle Quest. We also provide co-development services to larger, best-in-industry game companies. In that capacity, Demiurge has contributed to titles such as Bioshock, Rock Band, and Mass Effect.
The IT Desktop Support Technician will be based in our Cambridge, MA office. Not a requirement, but a love of video games and playing them regularly, will get you some points!
Duties Include:
- Providing first and at times second-level support to our employees for all IT-related concerns, which includes supporting and troubleshooting technologies such as: Windows 10, Google Workspace, Antivirus, Jira, Adobe products, Autodesk products, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Wireless, Printers
- Preparing, repairing and deploying desktop computers, other equipment
- Set up New Employee equipment and accounts
- Help with the planning and deployment of new and upgraded products
- Assist with seeking out and implementing ways to make a system or process more efficient
- Monitor incoming support channels for customer requests and prioritize, execute, and track as needed
- Configure/deploy/move/reclaim end-user computer equipment
- Communicate with users about the status of their issues, and escalate problems as necessary
- Create knowledge articles based on resolved cases
- Assist in other general IT tasks
Requirements:
- May require lifting of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Personal ownership and accountability with every interaction
- A strong sense of customer service, attention to detail and desire for organization
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong team-player mentality
- Experience in a helpdesk or other service-oriented IT role a large plus
- Ability to appropriately set and meet expectations
- An ability to quickly learn and retain new skills and institutional knowledge
- Process development and documentation experience.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

- Office 365
- SMB/CIFS, NFS, and other data sharing protocols
- Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, Google)
- Active Directory
