IT Business Analyst

The roll*:
The IT Business Analyst’s role is to focus on our G&A business vertical to build business improvement projects that support the success of Toast's core operations. As a member of the Operational Excellence team, you will partner with G&A departments to identify process improvement opportunities through analysis and reporting. The IT Business Analyst will contribute in translating findings into business improvement recommendations and projects that reduce cost, improve efficiency and quality, and drive sustainable customer value. You will help to drive operational excellence by championing a culture of continuous improvement.
What you will do:
- Work with the Program Manager and Project Manager to partner with G&A business and technical stakeholders to review and map current processes and identify opportunities for scalable improvements
- Provide workflow analysis, data analysis, requirements analysis and creation of documentation to support process improvement initiatives
- Research best practices to help determine an ideal future state for business processes and understand the impact of process changes to stakeholders and the business
- Analyze and monitor data and key performance indicators related to time, cost, and quality to support potential operational improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with functional management teams and key business stakeholders to design, develop and implement strategies for optimizing business processes and workflows
- Contribute in creating and refining business and technical requirements to drive successful project execution and post-implementation strategies
Do you have the right ingredients*?
- Bachelor's degree; 1-3+ years of relevant work experience in business analysis, process improvement, and/or project management position
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle, and Business Process Management (BPM)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
- Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma transformation philosophies, principles, tools, and techniques
- Experience in using data and analytics to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and to adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives

- Experience with SQL and Salesforce dashboard & reports preferred
