Position SummaryThe primary responsibility of the Integration Design Associate is to provide prospective and existing clients with integration scoping services in the Small Group and Group space. Scoping includes ensuring clients are following athena-recommended approaches to integration, outlining athena capabilities, and designing custom solutions to meet unique client workflows and use cases. This role is also responsible for driving a product-led mindset with our client base in order to enact our corporate vision. Externally, typical engagement stakeholders vary from highly technical analysts to the C-suite. Internally, the Integration Design Associate interacts regularly with the Integration Services Product and Development teams to inform backlog prioritization. Additionally, the Integration Design Senior Associate will be responsible for building relationships within the company with peers in the client org (Sales, Imp, AM), MDP, Product, Product Marketing, Hospital org, and within Integration Services. The Integration Design Associate should have the ability to provide strategic input, solicited and unsolicited, to Integration Design leadership with a goal of developing better processes, tools, and models that generate successful outcomes within the team and improve operational efficiency. This role also requires a solid understanding of operational models and comfort with reporting. This person will also have a strong background in continuous improvement and cross-functional communication. This position reports to the Manager, Integration Design in the Integration Services organization.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
60%

  • Engage with third/external parties on both definition of business problems and development of the associated technical solutions
  • Lead integration design engagements for prospects and clients, which includes project management, integration scoping, best practice recommendations, and building trust with stakeholders (internally and externally) to establish yourself as an integration expert and influence decision-makers
  • Track numerous detail-intensive tasks and ensure their completion and accuracy. Communicate summaries and next steps in a thorough and actionable manner

  • Collaborate with other internal stakeholder organizations (including Integration Services, Product, and R&D) to ensure integration scoping engagements and implementations are successful by completing quality upfront scoping and continuous evaluation of feedback from downstream teams
  • Develop specific areas of subject matter expertise within the context of integration (client types, use cases, tools, etc.) that can be relied on by the team and broader organization


20%

  • Contribute to and lead projects and initiatives that drive towards team and broader organizational advancement and evolving capabilities
  • Engage with key internal teams, specifically Product and R&D, in order to identify, develop and support new features and functionality that best meet the needs of our clients and the broader network


Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree
  • 2-4 years of project management experience, including management of projects with significant cross functional interdependencies
  • 2-4 years of technical experience, including interoperability, healthcare IT, or similar
  • 1-2 years of technical writing experience preferred

Education & Experience Required

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of healthcare IT
  • Knowledge of SQL, HL7, or APIs
  • Knowledge of agile methodology
  • Knowledge of lean and continuous improvement methodology
