We are looking for an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our Supply Chain Operations team, focusing on supporting an elite group of Engineers to source and activate procurement plans for their Indirect Materials purchases. As the purchasing manager at a start-up company, you will be the single point of contact responsible for all indirect purchasing needs and managing the day-to-day procurement requirements from office supplies, to IT hardware/software, to engineering and test hardware/components.

Responsabilities:

  • Understand the business needs of all the groups in the company, working with business stakeholders to establish the procurement program to ensure purchasing of services and products meet project timelines and costs.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the indirect spending category with a clear understanding of market influence, market trends and procurement strategy.
  • Develop the company's indirect spending purchasing program and maintain procurement database and vendor master.
  • Establish RFQs, analyze vendor proposals / RFQs to select the best value, and lead commercial processes.
  • Place POs in a timely manner to meet business needs, track the delivery and resolve blocked invoices related to the assigned category
  • Track and evaluate vendor performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years experience in procurement in a high tech company
  • A strong combination of analytical and interpersonal skills with good knowledge of procurement procedures
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
  • Great interpersonal skills, team player with good written and oral communication skills

Preferred Skills and experiences:

  • Strong vendor management experience
  • Experience with contract negotiation
  • Experience in a start-up environment
